Farnley Hey

As part of a recent project I met with Studio VC in West Yorkshire at Farnley Hey. Built in 1954, Farnley Hey takes influences from the modernist, Bauhaus and International Design Movement of the early 20th Century.

Designed by architect Peter Womersley and awarded the R.I.B.A bronze medal in 1957, it was the one of the first post war buildings to be given Grade II listed status by English Heritage and remains on of the UK’s leading examples of mid-century design.
